3 letters to C. Sloman, 1833 Jan 1 and n.d.

Three manuscripts, in a single hand, concerning requests for paper, proofs, corrections. One letter declares, "If you have a proof ready do not wait, but send it-do not print 'The End' if you have not copy enough-let us give rather more than less matter than we ought. I hope you will conclude the Book speedily, as I want to set it only." The letters are accompanied by scribal copies of several poems by Bird. Three of these poems are titled "To Catherine Mary Moodie, an Infant, on her embarking for North America," "On the birth of my child, Alyen," "Constancy;" the collection also includes the last two stanzas of a fourth poem.
